As the hateful winter of 2026 has briefly subsided, the Lords of the Pit and venerable guests descended upon the Southside to gather for the Party of the Pit Lords. The third iteration of this ballin' EC event was co-hosted by Lord Rob and myself with 24 Lords, Ladies, Thrulls, and friends in attendance at the Marz Mothership.
We had full access to the arcade as spells were slung, zine artists marveled, and young onlookers learned the power of Lord Sanders' Royal Assassin + Icy Manipulator. The event raised over $500 for the Aquinas Literacy Center in McKinley Park which serves the local immigrant population. This party was also a special day for our own Caleb Dragonborn, who received his patch. Congratulations, Lord Caleb!
Five intense rounds of EC 93/94 were played with a diverse and unlikely selection of decks. Unfathomably siiiiiiiiick builds like Titania's Prison (Rohr), Livin' Plane (Dave), Dreams + Creatures Combo (Ben), "The Special" (Shane), and newcomer Joe C's Thallid Salad graced the tables. Lady Brie's Shahrazad Storytime build kept the party going for her opponents with a strong 3-2 finish. Wisconite and newcomer Oliver took the event down with 4c Atog followed closely by Lords Elleman, Piquardo, and Braun to round out a baller Top 4.
